The Simcha Fund
The Simcha Fund was created to provide financial support to Shluchim –
Chabad-Lubavitch emissaries who dedicate their lives to looking after the needs of Jews and Jewish communities around the world.
There are currently over 4,000 Shluchim worldwide. They work tirelessly to help Jews in their day-to-day lives and to foster Jewish awareness and identity. Covering the entire range of human endeavour, both physical and spiritual, Chabad and its Shluchim are at the vanguard of securing the Jewish nation’s existence today and in the future.
Joyous family occasions and celebrations, or Simchas, as they are known in Hebrew and Yiddish, are of course most welcome but can also be a time of added financial burden.
The Simcha Fund was the brainchild of and initiated by Merkos L’Inyanei Chinuch, Chabad’s central organisation, under whose aegis Chabad shluchim operate and by whom the Simcha Fund is directed and administered. The Simcha Fund helps these dedicated men and women cope with the financial strain of major family Simchas.
The fund provides grants on the occasions of births, bar mitzvahs and marriages.
The Simcha Fund has its own dedicated website through which all applications should be made. For further details and to apply, click here.
